Roddia Paul

Roddia Paul is a Doctoral Level Extern attending The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Washington, DC, who will complete a 9-month externship at the Capital Center of Psychotherapy and Wellness providing therapy to clients in need of support.  

 

Additionally, Roddia is a Registered Psychology Associate (RPA) in the State of Maryland. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and forensic studies from Nova Southeastern University and then earned her master’s degree in clinical psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology D.C. 

 

Over the last 5 years she has provided clinical and counseling support services in a variety of settings including courts, jails, residential facilities, schools, and private practice. Roddia enjoys working with diverse populations including (but not limited to) women, youth, people of color, and LGBTQ+ folx.  She has experience providing individual, family, and group therapy for challenges centered around trauma/PTSD, incarceration, reentry, anger, anxiety, mood disorders, ADHD, stress management, self-image and self-esteem, depression, and grief/loss. Roddia often incorporates expressive and art-based techniques into her therapy approach and has a passion for providing holistic and wellness-centered services.

 

She aims to provide a space of safety, support, and acceptance to her clients. Ultimately, Roddia believes in empowering her clients to bloom into their most full and authentic selves.
