Art Therapy

Creating artwork is a powerful tool for accessing and expressing emotion.  In art therapy, imagery serves as a visual representation of the thoughts and feelings that we cannot put into words.  The creative process and resulting artwork serve as nonverbal communication, and the act of art making promotes healing itself.

For clients interested in trying creative ways to process their emotions or to access emotions they may typically avoid, drawing, painting, collage, and sculpting call all be used to activate the mind, body, and spirit to support personal growth and improved well-being.
