Dr. Gabrielle V Swisher
Dr. Swisher offers therapy to individuals of all ages. She specializes in relational growth, adjustment difficulties, life transitions, stress and burnout, anxiety and depression, grief and loss, mood disorders, and behavioral change related to mild addictions. Dr. Swisher has extensive training in working with teenagers and young adults as they navigate life transitions. She employs evidence-based, science-supported methods to inform her treatment while adhering to a holistic framework that considers each individual's unique strengths. Her therapeutic approach prioritizes client preferences and treatment goals, emphasizing mindful awareness, deep inquiry, and values exploration throughout the process.
Dr. Swisher earned both her master’s degree and doctorate in clinical psychology from Palo Alto University in California. She completed her postdoctoral fellowship with the WISE Team at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, where she provided school-based services for children and adults. Her training includes experience in integrative healthcare, private practice, and community-based behavioral health services for children and families.
In addition to her clinical expertise, Dr. Swisher has a research background. She has contributed to studies that explore complementary and alternative healing modalities in modern treatments.
