Emilie Singer, PMHNP-BC
A board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with a passion for providing holistic, patient-centered mental health care. With over five years of diverse clinical experience in psychiatric, cardiac, and surgical settings, she brings a well-rounded and compassionate approach to mental health treatment.
Emilie earned her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from George Washington University in January 2025, completing 600+ hours of hands-on psychiatric clinical training. Her experience includes psychotherapy, medication management, and working with patients undergoing Esketamine, Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), and Methadone treatments. She has worked extensively in outpatient and inpatient psychiatric settings, managing care for conditions such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, substance use disorders, and peripartum mental health concerns.
Before becoming a PMHNP, Emilie served as a Registered Nurse at MedStar Washington Hospital Center, specializing in post-anesthesia care and cardiac surgery recovery. This background provided her with a deep understanding of the mind-body connection and the role of integrative medicine in mental health treatment.
Emilie is particularly interested in Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) and other innovative mental health treatments. She is committed to staying at the forefront of psychiatric advancements, continuously expanding her knowledge to better serve her patients.
My Philosophy
I believe that mental health care should be as dynamic and multifaceted as the individuals it serves. Every person carries a unique story, and my role as a psychiatric nurse practitioner is to listen deeply, understand fully, and provide compassionate, evidence-based support tailored to each patient’s needs.
With a foundation in both medical and psychiatric nursing, I approach care through a holistic lens, recognizing the intricate connection between the mind and body. My goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where patients feel seen, heard, and empowered in their healing journey.
I’m particularly passionate about innovative treatments—including Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP), TMS, and Esketamine therapy—which can offer renewed hope to those who haven’t found relief through traditional approaches. Whether we’re working through medication management, therapy, or integrative care options, my focus is always on helping patients build resilience, deepen self-understanding, and move toward lasting wellness.
At the heart of my practice is a simple belief: healing is possible when care is personalized, collaborative, and rooted in genuine connection.
