Kathleen Barbiyeru

Kate Barbiyeru is a board-certified family nurse practitioner. She started her career working as a medical scribe in an Emergency Department and went on to obtain her Registered Nursing Degree and Master’s of Science in Nursing Degree from Loyola University Chicago. She has worked in many diverse areas including Urgent Care, Pain Management, Dermatology, and most recently, telemedicine. Her recent work in telemedicine highlighted the increased need for mental healthcare providers, this experience motivated her to pursue a Post-Master’s Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification program, which she has completed.  She will soon be double board certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner.
