Kaitlyn Persaud
Kaitlyn is a doctoral student at The Chicago School in Washington, D.C., where she is pursuing advanced training in clinical psychology. She has experience working with a diverse range of individuals across the lifespan, including people from various cultural backgrounds, neurodivergent individuals, and members of the LGBTQ+ community. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community herself, Kaitlyn is deeply committed to providing affirming, inclusive, and compassionate care that honors each client’s unique identity and lived experience.
Her clinical experience includes supporting young adults experiencing acute mental health crises, conducting comprehensive psychological assessments, and working with individuals seeking diagnostic clarification for Autism Spectrum Disorder and other neurodevelopmental differences. Kaitlyn approaches assessment and therapy from a strengths-based perspective, helping clients better understand themselves while identifying practical tools to navigate life’s challenges with greater confidence and self-awareness

My Philosophy
Kaitlyn strives to create a warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental therapeutic environment where clients feel safe to explore their concerns, build resilience, and work toward meaningful personal growth. She is passionate about supporting individuals navigating identity development, life transitions, relationship challenges, anxiety, depression, and issues related to neurodiversity. Her goal is to empower clients to embrace their authentic selves while fostering emotional well-being, self-compassion, and lasting change.
